Family Literacy Night
Read Across America week is February 25-March 1. This week-long celebration of reading will include guest readers, spirit days (see below), and many fun classroom activities.  We hope you can join us on Tuesday, February 26th from 6:00-7:30 for our annual Family Literacy Night.  Please enter using the cafeteria door.  We will be serving free pizza (2 slices per person) to the first 200 attendees. There will also be lots of Dr. Seuss themed activities for students to enjoy. Students can vote on their favorite Dr. Seuss book and participate in a “Seuss Silhouette” competition. While here, be sure to stop by the Oconee County Public Library booth to sign up for a library card and to see what’s new at the library.  Did you know that you can check out ebooks, audio books, and even a telescope from the Oconee Public Library? (Please note that in order to get a library card, you must provide an ID and proof of address.) We look forward to an exciting week of reading celebrations and hope to see you at Family Literacy Night!

*All spirit days are based on a Dr. Seuss book.*
